presents

11 Canadian 3MT® Finalists

Three minutes. Eleven of Canada's best minds. The power of the spoken word.

3mt

Graduate students from every corner of Canada are doing research that makes a difference in our lives, our communities, our economy and our world.
The 3MT competition offers them a chance to explain their work and why it matters.

Canada’s 3MT national champion will be selected by a team of judges: Tragically Hip guitarist Rob Baker, CBC Radio producers Tom Howell and Nicola Luksic, and entrepreneur Ian Baines. All three winners will be announced the first week of June.

You can choose a People's Choice winner. You can support Canada’s graduate students by casting your vote for your favourite presentation – it’s easy. The video with the most votes during the period May 12 to May 26 will receive the Canada’s 3MT People’s Choice Award sponsored by MITACS. The 2nd place prize is sponsored by the Caisse Populaire Rideau-Vision of Ottawa.
